No way. I can't believe you admitted Britney Spears delivered your #1 song this year. But I have to admit that after seeing the video twice online, I had the song in my head the next day...
My list would include...
Scooter/Jumping All Over the World
Killers/Human
Coldplay/Viva La Vida
3OH!3/Don't Trust Me
And for some reason, I'm not smart enough this second to get you lots more. I owe you six. :-)
IT SAID IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER!! ;)
Killers--love them, HATE Human.
Pshaw... you put it first, so it is first. If you're going to make it so hard, I won't play. :-)
(and I like Human, but don't like Killers)
Your great Duffy pick makes up for your questionable Britney pick.
Just keepin' it real, peeps.
Oh dear ... you forgot Leona Lewis - Better in Time. I think that song is better than Bleeding Love. And Katy Perry is a good choice. Great song for this year. I am surprised you don't have any Lil' Wayne (although I agree). and no Kanye either?? interesting ... No Ray LaMontagne?? We need to talk ... for sure ...
I don't really like LL--she falls into the "I appreciate your music and your talent, but I don't actually like you" category. Weird, I know.
I don't like Lil Wayne, and don't see what the hype is all about. I do like TI, but not for the top 10.
Katy ruled the summer, and that song is killer!
I did Estelle w/ Kanye...points for that?
Ray LaMontagne-no dice. Too slow and mellow...I don't know why I like Coldplay based on this reasoning...but I just do.
OK, OK ... I hear your points. Funny you say that about Leona. You aren't the first. What about Rihanna then?? She has been on fire too. No Pink? I think her song "So What" is genious. Sara Barailles? Colbie Collait? I am spelling some of these wrong but you get my drift. Nice blog btw.
Love Riri's voice..just didn't love any of the songs this year. Umbrella, however, is one of my fave all-times songs from yesteryear.
Pink's 'So What' could get an honorable mention. That song is great!
No on the other chick singers...too mellow. Basically, if anyone qualifies for a Lilith Fair revival tour, I don't like them.
Coldplay aside, the only singers making the list are those that make me want to hop up on a table and dance and/or crank my radio up.
I like your blog, too. As you can see, I'm a fan of the playlist. I spend hours picking out music for my parties--though I miss the legit mix tapes from when we were younger.
I am begging for all Cold Play - That is my number 1 stocking stuffer! I had to admit it but I will- I am waitin' for Brit Spears to produce the Album- she has it in her. But can she?
I thought you hated Britney Spears? And she tops your 1?!!
OH MY GOSH PEEPS...THEY ARE IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. So, no, Britney is NOT my #1. ;)
I don't hate Britney...I just made fun of the fact that you LOVE these lyrics:
"
"All aboard!"
"Britney, before you go, there's something I want you to have."
"Oh, it's beautiful! But wait a minute, isn't this... ?"
"Yeah, yes, it is."
"But I thought the old lady dropped it into the ocean in the end..."
"Well, baby, I went down and got it for ya."
"Aw, you shouldn't have."
See..that's heinous.
A lot of protesting about Womanizer not being number 1 huh! I seem to hear it quite a bit around the house - and it's not all coming from my computer!
Since I still feel guilty about not giving you a full ten...
I hereby admit that I actually like a Katy Perry song, that's not the one you like. I dig the "Hot N Cold" song . So that makes 5.
I still have three weeks to finish this, right? :-)
Get on it Gray. The clock is ticking.
Are you having a hard time picking the other 4 because Womanizer is running through your head a all times?
