We woke up on her actual birthday to this homemade sign from Pops. He's a great dad!
We had a Mommy n Me birthday lunch at The Counter, where we shared a plate of sweet potato fries and a milkshake.
We carried on the tradition of having pizza and ice cream on her actual birthday. We had a couple of of besties join us at Pizza Party.
B got a jumpstart on her presents, and opened a few at Pizza Party. She caught on really quick, just like last year!
After eating pizza and terrorizing the other Pizza Party patrons, we headed next door to enjoy some ice cream from B and R. I had told her once in the morning that we would be having pizza and ice cream later that night, and it's all she talked about ALL DAY LONG.
We found some time to 'help' the fine people of B and R with some of their leaflets.
After dinner, we headed back home so B could open her presents from family. In honor of her new dolls and doll furniture, I got her The Little Mommy. She reads it every night, and spends time each day taking care of her babies just like the girl in the book. It's so cute.
Lancer always picks out and purchases a special little gift for Blakely on his own. This year he got her an adorable pink piano. She loves it, and can be heard singing her favorite song while pounding on the keys: "Mama! Dada! Gonan! BLAKELY!!" It's sure to be a chart topper.
It also makes a great chair.
As expected, the Bitty Twins and the cradle were a complete hit. She loves to rock the babies in their little cradle.
She ended the evening exhausted, overwhelmed, and stained with pizza. It was a lovely day.
The next day, she learned a new word: frosting. Here she is 'helping' Bonnie frost her Foofa birthday cake.
Saturday morning brought beautiful weather and friends and family from all over.
Thankfully, she woke up delighted by the Gabba Gabba theme. The Brobee doll from Team Gray made a great centerpiece for the food table.
Some of the 'Dabba Dabba' details
We packed the backyard nice and full, and partied all morning long
The kids took over the little play nook in the backyard, and made use of the rocks and trucks available to them.
It was finally time to debut the adorable homemade Foofa cake. B was delighted with the cake, and couldn't wait to lick off the frosting.
It was B approved
HT made some delicious GF cupcakes for the crowd. Thanks, girl!
Here are a few shots of the party crowd.
One of B's big gifts was a Kettler tricycle. She adores her new big girl bike, and likes to take rides around the block with us. One her first ride she shouted "I ride my bike!" She was so proud.
Here's a picture from the day you were born--our chubby, alert baby!
Here's one from your first birthday! You look so little!
And that concludes the fun festivities we enjoyed for Blake's 2nd birthday. Blakely, we love and cherish you so very much. You're such a fun little girl, and we love having you in our little family. We're excited to see what this next year will bring. Happy Birthday!

Wow, Kaari, you went all out for B's birthday and looks like she had a lot of fun. I loved Lancer's note that he put on B's door and the pink piano that he got her was awesome. She looks really cute playing it.
I also thought the "Yo Blakely Blakely" sign was a clever touch as well!
Happy Birthday Blakely!
It's moms like you that ruin it for the rest of us. You know that right?! We just want to buy the ugly invitations and have the party at chuck e cheese and our kids would think it was great until they see stuff like this!!
The party was adorable...every detail. B is the cutest child ever and that is saying something since I had cute kids.
That Foofa cake is legendary!
The party was perfect, and the bright colors were so cute. I don't know how you summon the will to host like that multiple times a year. B get majorly spoiled and that was just by you and Lancer! I am taking notes should you (and the Grays) get hit by buses. Acceptable: Bitty twins, piano, custom cradle. Not acceptable: Anything the likes of which I gave Benny. Noted.
