Watererobics Isn't Just for the Old...

...it's for the old AND me! I think I found my next big career. I am going to become a certified Aqua Aerobics Instructor.

This is how my job looks in my mind--I'm hot, skinny, and tan--and I have throngs of hip class participants dancing in the water as I play Jay-Z. Dang, my butt looks awesome!

This is the reality of how the job would actually pan out. Scarce class, foam water weights, and old people sweatin' to the oldies. Cue the Phil Collins.

I am the only one in class with my original parts, and I ain't talking about boobs, though mine are totally real. I don't think there's a real hip or knee in the bunch.

It's all good, though, because that makes me the default class star. Today we were stretching at the wall, and kicking our leg out. The teacher exclaimed "My, Kaari! I can tell you are a ballet dancer--look at that leg go!!" I didn't exactly dissuade her of this notion, and now the class thinks I am an accomplished dancer. I blame the teacher.

I am excited for my new career as a former trained ballerina/Aqua Aerobics Instructor. My ego is in check, though, since I'm still wearing my maternity suit. That should keep me grounded until that awesome butt shows up on my backside.

Little of This, Little of That

We've been busy little bees these last few weeks! Here's what we have been up to!

Went to Santana Row with the Atwoods to meet the stars of Disney on Ice...this is the moment when Mini met Mini. She was excited. I think we need to plan a trip to Disneyland ASAP.

I finally got the duckie print from one of my besties, Heather, framed and hung. It's so cute, and it makes me think of Eriika when I see it. Thanks, HT!

We finally installed Beezie's Johnny Jump-Up. It hangs in the kitchen, and she jumps around while I make dinner and clean up. She loves it! My boss gave it to me, and it came with a little musical mat that goes under it. When she jumps on it, it plays different instruments. We have family dances complete with horrible dance moves. B eats it up like we're Soul Train dancers.

We took advantage of a balmy day and headed up to the Exploratorium in SF. B was excited by the all of the light installations, and spinning color wheels.

Check out my sticker--it's my first time at the museum!

Gingersnap #2 was more interested in Blakely's nose...

B also got a little walker that she loves. It has a little wheel, and some spinning letters. When she gets bored with the jump-up, we move her to the walker.

She might be a little too excited by the walker!

Her favorite thing is to have her neck nuzzled and munched on. She's quite ticklish. I took a picture of Lancer getting her good, and then hopped over to the other side to see her little laugh.

Lancer does "nature walks" with Beezie in the backyard. He takes her out and shows her the different plants, fruits, birds, etc in our yard. He's been doing this since she was born. She's always interested in the plants, and loves touching all of the different textures.

I love this picture

Thanks for the tour, Pops!

Lance's 43rd birthday was on Monday--President's Day. He had the day off, which was fun. We slept in and did family snuggling until 1:30, and then grabbed lunch before heading up the coast. It was a cool and breezy day. B stayed in the car sleeping.

After we got back, we dropped Blake off with the Grays, and then headed to Tamarine for dinner. As always, it was delicious. B was sleepy on the way over there...but judging by these pictures, she had some partying left in her system!

They used her new pop-up Peapod travel bed--I LOVE this thing! It sets up in 2 seconds, and is ready to go. It's a great investment. I've already used it 5 times!

We documented her messy milk face....

Logan ate a box

Blakely loves being in Papa's pocket. That's what we call it when we snuggle up to her, and she hangs out in our little crook.

She still loves her baths, and splashing around. She gets water all over the counter now.

And last, but certainly not least, B's latest tricks.

Lifting up her legs for us when we change her. What a helpful little gem.

Leaning forward in the swing

Holding her bottle...all by herself!

And educating other babies on the importance of protective sun gear..and looking fashionable while doing it!

All Dolled Up

Dear Daddy,

It's me, B. I swiped Mom's phone. It's imperative that you come home. Mom "dolled" me up in creepy and dirty wigs for her own amusement. Please come home and rescue me. Things are dire.

Love,
Beezie

In unrelated (but still awesome news) I want to thank the lovely Heather for my adorable custom header!! I have always loved the ones she's done for Brooke, so I hit her up. I think it captures me quite well!

Random Junk

I have all sorts of tales to tell, but none of them warrants a singular post. So, you get a grab bag. Here goes.

My new love is Teen Mom. What a gem. The show follows 4 dummies who got knocked up at 16. People who think this show will promote teen pregnancy have clearly never seen it. This is the typical conversation:

"I'm so disappointed. Jimbo said he was going to get a job, stop smoking weed, and buy my baby diapers. So far, he hasn't done anything."

"I wish my 15 year old boyfriend would stop cheating on me with my friends. That totally bugs."

"I never knew having a baby could be so hard. Without any money and a high school diploma, how am I going to ever get a job??"

Don't get knocked up at 16. It's a bad idea.

I hope they lock up this klepto and throw away the key for a year. She's irreparably broken. Bye, bye sticky fingers!!

Lots of recent developments on the gluten-free front. First, I scored this yummy GF ravioli at Costco of all places. Jackpot!
And...Erik's Deli started carrying GF bread in their stores. They will do any order on GF bread for you, and it's free. I have been eating waaaaayyyy too many tuna sandwiches. I just saw that they have 800 calories. Geh.

B has been enjoying the warm weather, and playing at the park with friends. It's been in the 70's here--unseasonably warm and lovely.

First time in a swing--she loved it!

Here is our new garage door! It really makes the house look 100% better. I can hardly wait to paint the house.

I ran into my old friend Michelle at Happy Hollow last week. So random! She was visiting from Sacramento. It was great catching up with her and her adorable girls.

One day I came home from running errands, and Lance proclaimed that he was feeding the baby. I found her tucked away on the La-Z-Boy, with her bottle propped up on blankets. Autofeeder--Dad Style.
He also left her pants off--my pet peeve. Every time he changes her, she returns without pants. I would have given him the gears, but decided the onesie showcased her fat lil' thighs, so I forgave him instead.
We have an annual white elephant Valentine's Day gift exchange on Friday--and look what I found!! It was at Goodwill for a mere $7. It comes with an incredible 2 machines--one for upper body, and one for lower body. I was goofing off at the stoplight, and gave my arms a SERIOUS workout. I decided to keep the machine to help with my flab. You aren't getting it, so don't bother coveting.

At the park, the moms relentlessly mocked me for being safety conscious--calling the police with suspicious behavior, carrying a laser guided tazer, having animal control on speed dial. One even alluded that "trouble seems to follow me." As if on cue, a random dog began terrorizing the park. And who saved the day??? MEEEEE!!! I forgive all of you doubters.

Cujo on the rampage, out for blood

I met my Babymomma soulmate the other day at lunch. She had a cute little daughter a few months older than B. We giggled about their matching shirts, swooned over their smiles, and compared beloved baby gear--Trumpette socks, Sophie the Giraffe, Bumbos. We talked about teething, and philosophized about Carter's. I wanted to ask for her number to hang out, but didn't know how without sounding like I wanted to make out with her. So, I let her slip through my fingers. But I believe we will meet again. Soulmates always get second chances.

And...that's it! Well, that and the fact that I want to see Never Say Never. You may have noticed I have a soft spot for talented boy wonders. Who's in??
